Artificial intelligence is changing the way people work, learn, build businesses and live their everyday lives. But much of the conversation about AI still happens inside technology companies, conference rooms and research labs.

AskBobAI believes another voice needs to be part of that conversation: everyone else.

That is why AskBobAI is proud to support America vs. AI, a new documentary project led by AskBobAI CEO and Co-Founder Andrew DeGood and leadership and organizational performance consultant Liz Short.

This October, DeGood and Short will travel more than 3,400 miles across the United States, visiting more than 20 cities and talking directly with workers, teachers, students, parents, business owners, entrepreneurs and everyday Americans about what AI is actually doing to their lives.

Getting Outside the AI Bubble

At AskBobAI, we spend every day building artificial intelligence designed to make work easier and give people more time to focus on the things humans do best.

But building AI also comes with a responsibility to listen.

The people creating this technology cannot be the only people shaping the conversation about what it means.

“We spend a lot of time talking about what AI might do someday,” said DeGood. “I want to hear what it is doing to people right now. What is a teacher seeing in the classroom? What does a small business owner think? What is a parent telling their kids? What does a worker think when AI suddenly becomes part of their job?”

That curiosity became the foundation for America vs. AI.

More Listening. Fewer Predictions.

The project isn't starting with the assumption that AI is good or bad.

Instead, the team is starting with questions.

Is AI making work better? Is it making people more productive? Are workers worried about being replaced? How are students using it? What are teachers experiencing? Can small businesses suddenly compete in ways they couldn't before? What happens to trust when images, voices and videos can be generated by AI?

And perhaps the biggest question:

Are we ready for how quickly all of this is happening?

Rather than trying to answer those questions from Silicon Valley, America vs. AI is taking them directly to the American people.

3,400 Miles. 20+ Cities. One Big Conversation.

Over 15 days, the America vs. AI team will travel from Chicago through communities across the Midwest, South and East Coast before returning to Chicago.

Along the way, the team will conduct planned interviews as well as spontaneous conversations in workplaces, schools, businesses, restaurants and communities.

Filmmaker and content producer Alyx Ancira will travel with DeGood and Short to document both the interviews and the unexpected moments that happen along the road.

The goal is simple: capture an honest snapshot of how America is experiencing the rise of artificial intelligence right now.

Why AskBobAI Is Supporting the Project

At AskBobAI, we build AI for work. But ultimately, we build it for people.

We believe life is too short to spend so much of it doing work a machine can do. AI has the potential to give people something incredibly valuable back: time. Time to think, create, connect, make better decisions and focus on the work and people that matter most.

But as excited as we are about that future, we also believe the people building AI shouldn't be the only ones deciding what that future looks like.

We need to listen to the people living through it.

The teacher watching AI enter the classroom and wondering what learning will become.

The employee wondering what it means for the career they've spent years building.

The entrepreneur discovering that one person can suddenly do what once required an entire team.

The parent looking at their children and wondering what jobs will exist when they grow up.

And the person who hasn't used AI at all and isn't sure they even want to.

Behind every prediction about artificial intelligence is a human being whose life may be changed by it.

Those are the voices we want to hear. Those are the stories worth telling. And that's why AskBobAI is supporting America vs. AI.

Follow the Journey

America vs. AI will share interviews, short-form footage and updates from the road throughout the 3,400-mile journey, followed by the completed documentary.

If AI has changed your job, your business, your classroom, your family or simply the way you think about the future, the team wants to hear from you.

This isn't just a story about artificial intelligence. It's a story about people living through one of the biggest technological shifts of our lifetime.

And we're going across America to listen.
